How we make money
When you click a "Check price" button and go on to buy from a retailer, we may earn a commission from that retailer. The price you pay is not affected. Every one of those links is marked as an advertising link and carries rel="sponsored nofollow".
Commission never buys a ranking
Rankings, scores and recommendations are produced from the specification and score data we record for every phone using the same eight categories. No retailer can pay to be listed higher, to appear in our best-of pages or to change a score.
Where prices come from
Prices are recorded from retailer offers and show the time we last checked them. Prices change frequently, so always confirm the final price at the retailer before buying. Where our catalogue currently contains demonstration pricing rather than a live retailer feed, it is explicitly labelled "Demo price" — we never present demo data as a live price.
Price history and Deal Score
Deal Score compares a current price against a phone's recorded price history. Until we have tracked a phone long enough to have genuine history, we say so instead of estimating averages or all-time lows.
